कापसाचा बाजारभाव

कापूस उत्पादनात घट होण्याचा अंदाज असतानाही शेतकऱ्यांना अपेक्षेप्रमाणे दर मिळत नाही. याचे कारण आंतरराष्ट्रीय असल्याचे बोलले जात आहे. कारण न्यूयॉर्कस्थित इंटरकॉन्टिनेंटल एक्स्चेंज (ICE) मधील कापसाच्या वायदा व्यवहारानंतर आणि जागतिक मागणीत मंदी आल्याने काही बहुराष्ट्रीय कंपन्यांनी भारतीय बाजारपेठेत त्यांचा माल विकण्यास सुरुवात केली आहे.

केंद्र सरकारने मध्यम फायबर कापसाचा एमएसपी 6620 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल घोषित केला आहे. तर लांब फायबर जातीचा एमएसपी 7020 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल आहे. महाराष्ट्र कृषी पणन मंडळाच्या म्हणण्यानुसार, २६ एप्रिल रोजी राज्यातील पाच प्रमुख मंडईंचे भाव आले असून, त्यापैकी चार मंडईतील कापसाचा कमाल आणि सरासरी भाव प्रतिक्विंटल ७००० रुपयांपेक्षा जास्त आहे. शुक्रवारी वरोरा मंडईत कापसाचा भाव 7450 रुपये प्रतिक्विंटल होता.

उत्पादनात घट झाल्याचा अंदाज आहे
केंद्र सरकारने म्हटले आहे की 2022-23 मध्ये देशभरात 336.60 लाख गाठी (एक गाठी 170 किलो) कापसाचे उत्पादन झाले. परंतु 2023-24 च्या दुसऱ्या आगाऊ अंदाजात 323.11 लाख गाठी कापसाचे उत्पादन होईल असे सांगण्यात आले आहे. म्हणजे गेल्या वर्षीच्या तुलनेत उत्पादनात घट झाली आहे. उत्पादन कमी असल्याने भाव वाढले पाहिजेत, असे शेतकऱ्यांचे म्हणणे आहे.
